Programs
To provide an enlightened and enriched academic, intellectual, moral, cultural, ethical, technological, and student-centered environment, conducive to the development of highly qualified individuals who are prepared and capable of serving as leaders and contributors within the fields of Architecture and Engineering Technology in an ever-evolving society.
In 1973, the State University System completed A Study of Florida's Future Need for Architects. The study concluded that the state would need more than twice the number of professional architects the two schools existing in Florida could produce.
The SAET provides NAAB accredited degrees in architecture and ABET accredited degrees in construction, electronics and facilities management.
SAET's International Activities and Partnership shows the school's commitment to diversity and inclusion.
The School of Architecture & Engineering Technology (SAET) recommends all students enrolled in any degree program to bring to school a personal laptop powerful enough to support the demanding video and computational requirements necessary for coursework as well as adequate storage to accommodate new and future software releases. This guideline reflects the reality that students without an appropriately configured laptop will not be able to fully participate in the broad array of activities essential to an evolving design and technology education.
